The House that Love Built

Our new home!!

The Philadelphia Phillies and their
Mascot visited the Ronald McDonald
House of Scranton.

Welcome to Our Home on the Internet. Remember to wipe your feet! :) We're happy to see that you stopped by. Keep checking back often so you can keep up to date on all the activities of the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton.

Our primary form of income to keep "The House that Love Built operating is donations. Donations can be made by mailing a check to the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton (address is located half way down the page on the left side), or online by credit card. Without your support we would not be able to continue operating.

Founded in 1986, The Ronald McDonald House of Scranton serves the families of children who are hospitalized here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Distracted and amused by television, games books, a relaxing back porch and a cozy playroom overflowing with toys, guests enjoy a safe quiet place to recover from the day's emotional trials.

A beautiful newly renovated building with a new addition, nestled in a charming section of Scranton, the house boast seven second-floor bedrooms of various sizes, and four handicapped accessible bedrooms. Each bedroom has an individual telephone line and long-distance calling cards are provided compliments of AT&T.

With bathrooms with showers (four being handicapped-accessible) come complete with toiletries. Although clean linens are provided by the house, laundry facilities are available on the premises and free of charge.

Guests are encouraged to take advantage of our fully stocked kitchen, helping themselves to groceries and preparing their own meals.

To keep busy, guests and their children often play in the yard or walk up the street to visit Nay Aug Park and The Everhart Museum.
